Our Wedding Itinerary
GROOMSMEN/USHERS can dress in hotel- please meet at the church outside of the sanctuary at 11:30 a.m. NOTE: Sanctuary
is on far left of building when looking at church from parking lot. Best Man, you will hang out with Christian in
minister's office prior to ceremony (around 12:15??). Ushers find Mistress of Ceremony who has programs.
PARENTS AND GRANDPARENTS meet in the Narthex (area just outside of sanctuary) by 11:30 a.m.
USHERS: Please note all guests are ushered in through center doors. Make sure 2 side doors into sanctuary are closed.
USHERS: Please ask guests with small children "Would you rather take them to the nursery?" Give them
directions to it (Halfway down main hall on the left just after the women's bathroom). If they
desire to take children into the sanctuary, especially babies, please remind them that they can
take the child out during the ceremony if they need to (if they have small babies, try to seat them
on the end of a pew)
USHERS: No one sits in the 1st pew on either side. Please reserve the 2nd and 3rd rows for
parents/grandparents/siblings only. Please ensure 1st aisle seat in left 4th pew is reserved for the bride's brother.
The order is as follows:

(2) GROOM'S BROTHER USHERS GROOM'S GRANDMOTHER - right side 3rd pew
(3) BRIDE'S BROTHER USHERS BRIDE'S GRANDMOTHER ( & BRIDE'S GRANDFATHER) - left side 3rd pew
12:28 p.m. Solo "Walk With Them Lord"
12:31 p.m. Seating of Mothers "Ave Maria"
(1) GROOMSMAN USHERS GROOM's STEPMOTHER (& GROOM'S FATHER) to front and seats her in
right side 2nd pew
(2) GROOM's BROTHER USHERS GROOM'S MOTHER (& GROOM'S STEPFATHER) to front and then up to
light the right unity candle and then returns Groom's Mother to seat
(right side 2nd pew); Groom's Brother walks back out down aisle
(3) BRIDE'S BROTHER USHERS BRIDE'S MOTHER (& BRIDE'S FATHER) to front and then up to light
the unity candle and then returns Bride's Mother to seat (left side 2nd
pew); Bride's brother sits in left side 4th pew in seat nearest the aisle

ENTER WEDDING PARTY (once you have ensured minister, Groom
and Best Man are in front of the table): Bridesmaids, Groomsmen,
Maid of Honor, Flower Girl, Bride and Bride's Father; each person should wait until the
preceeding person is 3/4 of the way down the aisle and they should
walk slowly and normally (i.e. no crazy steps)

Maid of Honor, Bride, Groom, Best Man and minister walk up into chancel (i.e. up
steps) as Reader #1 walks up to mic and reads "A Marriage Prayer" and
then returns to seat
Marriage Vows
Reader #2 walks up to mic and reads "The Soft Sound of Angels" & then
returns to seat
Blessing and Exchange of Rings
Unity Candle/Organ "Air for the G String"
Scripture Reading Philippians 2:1-11
Declaration of Marriage
Solo "The Lord's Prayer"
Benediction
Recessional "Wedding March"
Order: Mr. and Mrs. Christian and Leslie Fowler

Maid of Honor and Best Man

(Note that each pair should wait until the preceeding couple is at
the end of the aisle before proceeding so the photographer can
get pics easily of all attendants)
** Ushers return to usher out the following people:

Groom's Brother - Groom's Mother (and Groom's Stepfather)
Groomsman - Groom's Stepmother (and Groom's Father)
Bride's Brother - Bride's Grandmother (and Bride's Grandfather)

** Ushers stand by next 2 pews and pew by pew from front to back show
guests out center aisle only
*** ALL WEDDING PARTY AND FAMILY: when you exit the sanctuary turn left
and make your next left down the hallway towards the church office.
Open door on left. Go through next door on left and sit in front few
pews quietly for pictures. Let's make this quick :-) - PLEASE help
spread the word by telling other family members not here at rehearsal
to follow these directions after the ceremony so we can take pictures
as quickly as possible
RECEPTION: once you arrive, wait outside the building (or inside in foyer area
if too hot or raining). The wedding party will be announced as we
enter. Just wait for the MC to announce your name(s)
before walking across room). The order will be as follows:
* Mistress of Ceremonies
* Guest Book Attendant and Personal Attendant
* Grandparents of the bride
* Grandmother of the bride, escorted by Brother of the bride
* Grandmother of the groom, escorted by Brother of the Groom
* Sister of the groom
* Stepmother of the groom, escorted by Father of the groom
* Mother of the groom, escorted by Stepfather of the groom
* Parents of the bride
* Flower Girl
* Bridesmaid and Groomsman
* Bridesmaid and Groomsman
* Maid of Honor and Best Man
* And now introducing for the first time, the bride and groom, Mr. and
Mrs. Christian and Leslie Fowler
BRIDESMAIDS: you can leave your bouquets on the cake table during the reception
if you like
GROOMSMAN: return tuxes to Formal House before you leave town or call the
bride's father - you can leave them with him if necessary and he'll
return them all
IN GENERAL TO ALL: The MC and Mistress of Ceremonies will have copies of
this itinerary and the list of duties all day on Saturday if anyone
has questions.
